Weekend Program

The Weekend Retreat Program operates September through May to allow hospitals and support groups to visit the retreat where children, their siblings, parents and medical providers enjoy respite and recreation. It addresses the need for fun, safe, ability-appropriate activities for children with special needs and their families, as well as fostering a great sense of community among those impacted. Approximately 500 children and adults are served through the Retreat Program annually. While at the retreat, children and adults can explore fun, safe, age-appropriate and ability-appropriate activities such as:

The retreat boasts lodging for up to 60 people, including handicap-accessible accommodations in modern, cabin- style housing. Food and meals for retreats can be brought-in, catered-in, self-prepared or provided, according to groups needs and budget. A commercial kitchen is available in the lodge, and the main house has two full kitchens. All areas have fully-stocked and clean restrooms.

Meeting Rooms

Hobby Lodge - Seats up to 100

Features rustic large tables with seating, sound system and commercial kitchen
Offers a welcoming living room area with overstuffed leather coaches and chairs
Stunning fireplace and access to scenic deck

Mayborn House - Seats up to 30

Features 2 large work tables and seating, with comfortable and open living room area
Enjoy TV, fireplace and kitchen access; also has bedrooms and bunk rooms
Boasts a beautiful wrap-around deck with lots of country rocking chairs

Theatre in the Woods - Seats up to 72, theater-style

Take advantage of the stage, movie screen, fully-loaded audio-visual capabilities
Theater “lobby” excites with pool table, air hockey, arcade games, toys, concessions
