Physical Therapy Program

PKRC’s Physical Therapy Program is a partnership with Kidz Therapeze in Killeen, offering services at the retreat’s nature preserve for children and young adults, ages 5-22, with disabilities or chronic illness.

The Physical Therapy Program is a unique complement to traditional programs, capitalizing on the retreat’s natural resources and recreational spirit to enhance rehabilitation exercises through a non-clinical therapeutic environment. The retreat is fully equipped with handicap-accessible facilities and walkways, safety equipment and adaptive tools to serve the physical and rehabilitative needs of children and their families.

The organization maintains outstanding natural areas and man-made facilities to fulfill therapeutic goals through fun, safe, age-appropriate, ability-appropriate activities such as:

Hiking / Nature Trail Archery Low Ropes Course
Swimming (outdoor pool) Playground High Ropes Course
Fishing Sportcourt 30 Foot Climbing Wall
Animal Interactions Miniature Golf 75 Foot Zip Line
