Objectives
The objectives of PKRC are to provide programs and activities that will:
- Advance the academic performance of students with:

improving student performance in science, math, reading and writing;

meeting goals set forth in the students' Individualized Education Plans;

incorporating TEKS into the curriculum to improve test scores; and,

improving disciplinary issues for teachers, and enhance the overall educational experience.

- Improve their physical health and emotional well-being by:

improving coordination, balance, body strength and limb functionality;

enhancing social skills in communication and teamwork;

increasing self-confidence and motivation; and,

reducing personal anxiety and stress.

- Build critical social and life skills by:

building self-confidence, greater self-esteem and positive life attitudes;

developing critical-thinking and coping skills; and,
-
fostering cooperation and interpersonal communication skills.
